  4. WELCOME TO MAGMAKER.
  5. MagMaker is a HyperCard application that makes it easy to create great looking electronic books, colorful interactive magazines, newsletters and other electronic documents – even if you have little HyperCard knowledge or artistic skill. MagMaker automatically typesets and paginates imported text to make document creation a snap. Once created, MagMaker documents are self-publishing and feature, in addition to a clean and readible design, easy to use navigation and annotation tools.

  7. MagMaker is an ideal on-line or disk based document creator. Virtually all Macintosh computer users can read MagMaker magazines with no special software. The HyperCard porgram or the HyperCard reader program that comes with each Macintosh is all anyone needs.

  9. HOW DOES MAGMAKER WORK?
  10. MagMaker turns HyperCard into a basic page layout program. You can import text, choose typefaces, sizes, leading, import pictures (even color pictures) and create text run-arounds. MagMaker automatically flows text around pictures and from page to page.

If the Magmaker Tools A and B stacks are in the same folder as a MagMaker magazine, MagMaker’s full development environment is automatically available when you open the magazine. If the Tools stacks are not present, the MagMaker magazine automatically becomes a read only document. You can create new documents from the Master Magazine or any MagMaker magazine by choosing “New Magazine” from the MagMaker menu. Just make sure that the book and the MagMaker Tools A and MagMaker Tools B stacks are in the same folder and then open the book.

MagMaker is FREE for personal, non-commercial use. A $25 one-time registration fee is required for commercial use. Once registered, you can create as many MagMaker magazines as you wish and and distribute them any way you like. Registered users will get that latest release version of MagMaker and a disc of sample publications.
